"This project was built around the heritage of William Morris, the 19th century artist, designer and writer, whose home and workplace is preserved for the nation in the Cotswolds in England. Students in the 2nd year Architecture course could choose an improvement to make to this settlement.

This student chose to build a crisp modernist box with a louvred glass wall around the small barn that is at William Morris's farm. The small stone barn contains the archive of writings and designs of Morris. At the approach to the box, the ground deepens slightly, so that once inside, the small barn appears to be raised slightly."
